Setting up Email Accounts in Outlook Express

• Open Outlook Express and choose "Tools" from the
   menu bar.
• Choose "Accounts" and click on the mail tab when
   the "Internet Accounts" manager window appears.
• Click on the "Add" button and then on "Mail".
• First, it will ask for a display name.
   (This is the name that people will see on the "From" line
   when they receive your mail.
   It's normally best to use your company name or personal
   name.)
• Next, the wizard asks for your email address.
   (This need to be you actual email address used for the
   account)
• Next you are asked for your server information.
   Your incoming mail server is a POP3 and its name is:
   mail.yourwebsitename.co.za
   (outgoing is the same, or you can use your internet
   connection's outgoing server eg.
   smtp.vodamail.co.za for Vodacom,
   mail.mtn.co.za for MTN,
   smtp.wbs.co.za for Iburst and
   smtp.saix.net for ADSL connections in South Africa)
• Next is your account name, use the full email address.
• Enter your password.
• Click on "Finish" and then on "Close".

To retrieve your mail, in the Outlook Express window, choose "Tools" from the menubar, then select "Send and Receive".

Please check that the User Name and password that you
type in are not in the wrong capitalisation because user
names and passwords are case sensitive. The password that
you type in shows up as a bunch of stars to keep it private.

• Open Microsoft Outlook 2000 and choose "Tools" from
   the menu bar.
• Choose "Accounts" and when the "Internet Accounts"
   manager window appears, click on the "Mail" tab.
• Click on the "Add" button and then on "Mail".
   The Internet Connection Wizard will walk you through
   the setup process.
• First, it will ask for a display name.
   This is what the recipients will see in the "From" line
   when they receive your email.
• Next, the wizard asks for your email address.
• Next you are asked for your server information.
   Your incoming mail server is a POP3 and its name is:
   mail.yourwebsitename.co.za
   (outgoing is the same, or you can use your internet
   connection's outgoing server eg.
   smtp.vodamail.co.za for Vodacom,
   mail.mtn.co.za for MTN,
   smtp.wbs.co.za for Iburst and

• Open Microsoft Outlook 2003
• Select "Tools" from the menu bar, then select
   "E-mail Accounts".
• Under the "E-mail" heading, be sure that
   "Add a new e-mail account" is selected by clicking on
   the appropriate circle.
• Then click "Next >" button in the bottom right hand of
   the window.
• The next screen will ask you to choose the type of server.
   Select "POP3" by clicking on the circle next to "POP3",
   and then click the "Next >" button in the bottom right
   hand of the window.
• On the next screen, you will be asked for your e-mail
   settings.
• Under "User Information":
   Your Name (eg. Piet Smith)
   E-mail Address (eg. info@yourwebsitename.co.za
• Under "Server Information":
   Your incoming mail server is a POP3 and its name is:
   mail.yourwebsitename.co.za
   (outgoing is the same, or you can use your internet
   connection's outgoing server eg.
   smtp.vodamail.co.za for Vodacom,
   mail.mtn.co.za for MTN,
   smtp.wbs.co.za for Iburst and
   smtp.saix.net for ADSL connections in South Africa)
• Under "Logon Information":
   User Name: Please use your full email address
   Password that was issued to you.
• Click the "Next >" button in the bottom right hand
   of the window.
• When the next window opens, click the "Finish" button
   in the bottom right hand of the window.

• Open Outlook 2007.
• If the Account Creation Wizard opens, click Cancel
   and return to the main Outlook screen.
• At the top of the Outlook screen, click Tools.
• Select Account Settings.
• Select the E-mail tab. Click New.
• At the bottom of the "Add New E-mail Account" window,
   check the box labeled Manually configure server settings
   or additional server types. Click Next.
• Select Internet E-mail. Click Next.
• In the "Your Name" field, enter your name.
   (eg. Piet Smith)

   (eg. info@yourwebsitename.co.za
• From the Account Type menu, select POP3.
